Edmodo & Symbaloo
What was the most difficult portion of this assignment?
I think the most difficult part of the assignment was figuring out how to embed the Symbaloo, Symbaloo could make their sharing option a bit easier.
Give an example of at least one way you would use Symbaloo in your future classroom.
I liked the way I used Symbaloo for this assignment, in my future classroom I would do something similar. I could also link Edmodo to my Symbaloo to make navigation better for my students.
Identify some problems/issues that arose as a result of creating you Edmodo quiz. ( hint: the types of questions)
I didn't like the short answer questions within Edmodo, for a faster, out the door type of quiz you would need to use the other types of questions. Also, if students don't capitalize a word, or misspell something, you would have to go in and correct their grade, that was another aspect I did not like.
Give your overall impression of this assignment.
I really enjoyed this assignment, I got some new ideas on how to incorporate more technology in the classroom, which could keep my future students more engaged.

Mobile Learning and Podcasting
The world is becoming more and more reliant on technology and are even integrating it into education and the classroom more every day. Incorporating mobile technology into the learning process is called mobile learning. A cheap, really simple way educators are incorporating technology into their classes is through podcasts, which are small audio files that can be streamed or downloaded to any internet connected device. There are a lot of advantages to using podcasts in the classroom such as, students are more likely to retain information when they hear it rather than read it, it adds to the materials available to educators to help those who are visually impaired, dyslexic, or EAASL students, and it allows students to learn at their own pace because those who are struggling can go back and listen to previous lessons. In my opinion there is only one major disadvantage to using podcasting as a learning material which is, economically disadvantaged students may not be able to afford a device to listen on. There are studies that show positive results from educators who are already using podcasts in their classrooms. In one of those studies, "87.5% of students reported that podcasting improved peer communication and broke down barriers between learners and lectures." Another study showed there was a "86% increase of student engagement with the use of mobile learning." If I were to start my own podcast, I would first need to do some research on the technology equipment needed because I would want to have all the necessary things to make it great. Once I had all of the equipment I would jump right in to podcasting in my classroom because there is so much to gain from incorporating this technology into learning.
